Dear friends, please note the following request to participate in shaping the new NIH program
Best Regards
Heiner Boeing
In the U.S. NIH funds much of the nutrition research. Currently NIH is
developing the first ever strategic plan for nutrition research. We would
like to obtain input on that from FENS members. Would you be willing to
reach out to them for us.

National Institutes of Health Nutrition Research
The U.S. NIH Nutrition Research Task Force (NRTF) hopes to obtain input from
European nutrition experts in developing the first-ever NIH-wide strategic
plan for nutrition research. The strategic plan will emphasize cross-cutting,
innovative opportunities to advance nutrition research for the next 10 years
across a wide range of topics, from basic science to population research.
These opportunities will complement and enhance ongoing research efforts
across NIH to improve health, and to prevent or combat diseases and
conditions affected by nutrition.
The NRTF invites you to use this URL to provide input:
https://ideabuzz.com/a/buzz/nih/strategic-plan. In doing so, feel free to
innovate and consider ideas that might not be possible without resources of
more than one government agency or with industry collaboration. The NIH NRTF
looks forward to seeing your ideas and encourages you to come back to the
site often in the next weeks, before it closes on April 16, to comment or add
to ideas of colleagues. Feel free to share this request for input with your
nutrition research or health care professional colleagues or trainees in your
departments.
